Life in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Dwelling in memory lane and finding yourself living the life you ever wanted; which once was too good to be a reality, that’s a different kind of joy. Times you found yourself on rock bottom, times you had to pick yourself up, times you’ve felt you got everything you ever wanted; ending up wanting more. Everything that you’ve been through. No one would ever know you better than you do. Every experience you had, everything is a memory. It is priceless. You lived every single bit of that, “that” is life. It’s a journey. You need to make sure to enjoy every “journey”. This is different, not what I usually write, but this feels good, revisiting the memories, they are there, to be cherished. What our lives would be if you hadn’t experienced what you had. What ifs are heavy but memories alone are pretty.

Life, as it is now, wouldn’t have been a reality if it wasn’t for the people you had around you. Each and every one of them that you crossed paths with played a part in shaping you to be who you are now. Few of them might have found new paths along the way and moved on to different parts, yet you have to be forever grateful for the role they had played in yours. When you are young, you just believe there will be many people with whom you will connect with, but as you grow old, later in life, you realize it only happens a few times. You have to make sure you are giving everything in your capacity to let them know that they are important. Putting yourself in front is important, so is not taking others’ for granted. Regrets are heavy, those carry too much baggage, capable of pulling you down.

There can be times that you might feel like “Life is what it used to be.”. Wrong, this is not true, this can’t be true. This phenomenon is called standing too close to an elephant. When you’re standing too close to an elephant, all you see is penis-like skin. That is Chappelle at his best. The man is right, when you are standing too close, you don’t see the whole picture. You only see what is in front of you. You have to take a step back until you can see the bigger picture. You can’t compare this moment with what you believed to be the happiest in the past. Life is good, the moment sucks, you can’t just run back to the past because it’s familiar. Yes, it’s tempting. But it’s a mistake.

You are here to make memories, life is fragile and unpredictable but the game is living it to the fullest. The future is scary, it is ok to be scared but never give up. Make sure you are in alignment with who you are, this will help you to find happiness and turn everything into memories. Something good is always around the corner. Make sure you create so many memories that you have the luxury to revisit at later times. At the end of the day, that’s all we are left with, memories. Those can’t be taken away, those are yours, and yours only to be cherished. I may use that phrase one too many times, but that’s what life is about.

Cheers!
